BIO: Jim Sibel, COO & Delivery Executive

Jim began his technology career at Ford Motor Company for 6 years, first working at a Milan Plastics Trim parts components plant where he supported the movement of all material throughout a 1.1 million square foot site. This position was tied to manufacturing and was critical to materials flowing to and from lean production cells in order to ship finished facias (bumpers) to the assembly plant. He was promoted (4) times in just 6 years quickly becoming a leader that would help to transform the Ford spin-off known as, Visteon. During his tenure he managed plant floor systems upgrades and releases to plants in both North America and Europe. Visteon outsourced their technology services ($2B) and Jim was a key person to govern the global contract for over 145 sites.

Jim worked for Visteon a tier 1 automotive supplier where he managed all the major global technology vendors that were critical to sustain growth and operational excellence. He held several different leadership role in various areas of the company. These positions included: Client Manager facing off to several functions to review business cases and ROI to enhance and develop new applications. He performed technology service benchmarking exercises to reduce cost and increase quality. Many of these experiences were directing strategic initiatives leading to Operational Excellence and productivity efficiencies. Jim worked as a Senior Manager of the Application Transformation program eliminating old and expensive to maintain code, licensing, and hardware.

Jim has held many leadership roles in companies of all sizes, industries, and verticals. These roles included Senior Manager of Supplier and Performance Management (very large auto supplier), Divestitures and Mergers manager helping to separate and sell (ACH) Automotive Components Holdings for Ford Motor Company. He was successful in selling the Glass division before moving on to work at (ISG) Information Services Group.

Jim provided both Advisory and Contract oversight services to General Motors at their HQ - the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan. He managed the monthly account executive’s forum that ensured that seamless technology services were delivered to General Motors globally working with HP, IBM, Infosys, Deloitte, and ATT to name a few of the strategic partners. He also managed all the contract changes and metrics that drove top-quartile services to the business.

Jim took on the role of Senior Infrastructure Program manager for IBM working at the Michelin headquarters in Greenville, SC. He led a team of project managers working in the US, India and Brazil to deliver the most transformative infrastructure projects for North America. Jim provided Advisory Services to the Michelin business on how best to leverage emerging technologies to cut cost, increase efficiencies and operational excellence by standardizing the environment ultimately reducing complexity.

Jim took a challenging role as the Client Director for Unify (aka Siemens) in which he drove sales of telecom services and transformed the VOIP landscape by upgrading hardware, eliminating old equipment and implementing a new telephony strategy.

Jim moved into a new role at CoffeeTree Group, as the VP of Business Development, a relatively new startup company in the Metro Detroit area. Responsible for delivering Advisory, Business Enablement, and Digital Transformation services. He enabled achievement of full business potential by integrating strategic (MSPs) Managed Service Providers, delivering products / services through a variety of distribution channels to drive sales growth.

Jim was recruited to work at HCL Technologies as the Director - Vertical Service & Alliance Partnerships and Delivery - Latin America. He drove sales growth working with the delivery organizations to curate demand for partners, align vertical relationships, and write engagement SOWs to support MEGA LT (a $1.5B business). Jim developed a supplier Ecosystem in LTAM that supported difficult to find skills and experiences that delivered best-in-class SAP services to the largest NA clients.

Jim is currently a consultant at CoffeeTree Group, he has led several Consulting and Advisory engagements. His primary focus is to drive sales growth, lead pre-sales, sales, operational excellence, and best practices. .He is very instrumental in leading many successful projects delivering industry relevant technology solutions.

Jim is currently resides in Metro Detroit, Michigan and has a vacation home in Fort Myers, Florida. Jim has a son who is a professional painter and a daughter in the Advertising and Marketing program at Michigan State University. He enjoys spending time with friends and family. He likes a variety of activities; jet skiing, basketball, golfing, camping, traveling and walking his deaf rescue dog - Aiden. Jim has been volunteering his time for over 20 years as a basketball coach, as a mentor, and community based initiatives such as the Capuchin kitchen by handing out clothing and food to people in need.
